We’d like to tell you about yet another prestigious award we have received
Gwent Mechanical Handling has become one of the first companies in the UK to be awarded the national certificate of compliance from the country’s foremost authority on materials handling: the Fork Lift Truck Association (FLTA). This certificate, which sits alongside our already existing ISO 9001 (Quality), ISO 14001(Environmental) and OHSAS 18001(Health and Safety) accreditations, puts Gwent Mechanical Handling at the forefront of the industry and once again a company leading in best practices.
We underwent a 100-point on-site audit, created to ensure consistently high standards and compliance across all areas of the business operations, including health and safety, environmental procedures and working practices.
FLTA Quality Manager Lee Medway, who carried out the audit explains why the process is so important: “The audit is designed to give customers real peace of mind. As an audit compliant company, customers know that Gwent Mechanical Handling has measured up to an industry-led health check, operates impressive health and safety policies and working practices.”
Accepting the certification, Idris McCarthy (Managing Director) said: “Gwent Mechanical Handling are continually looking to stay abreast of the latest industry standards and once again have proven our commitment to quality and excellence. We are absolutely delighted to be among the first companies in the UK to achieve the FLTA certification. This certification is a testament to the wonderful efforts of everyone within our business; it’s has been a team effort and one of which we are extremely proud”.
